Buck Knives Homepage

As my father, Chuck Buck, would say, "If this is your first Buck knife, 'welcome aboard.'” You are now part of a very large family. We think of each one of our customers as a member of the Buck Knives family, and we take care of our own.

CJ Buck

CEO and Chairman of Buck Knives

Warranty Overview

Buck Forever Warranty:

  • We warranty each Buck knife to be free of defects in material and workmanship for the life of the knife.

  • We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any defective Buck knife.

  • This warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, or product modifications.

  • Buck knives are not intended to be used as hammers, chisels, pry bars, or screwdrivers and, therefore, knives used for such purposes are void of warranty, but may be able to be repaired for a reasonable fee.

Buck Sheath Warranty:

  • Our sheaths are covered under warranty for 1 year after purchase.

What is Not Covered by Warranty:

  • Coating Wear: Blade and/or handle coatings naturally wear and are not covered under warranty.

  • Dishwasher Damage: Not covered by our Forever Warranty. Avoid using dishwashers for cleaning.

  • Rust is not covered under warranty. Knives should be kept clean and dry to help prevent rust from developing. Spa Service available for $6.95 - there may be some pitting under the rust that we're unable to remove.

  • Disassembled Knives: Disassembly voids the warranty. We charge $10 to reassemble a knife.

  • Lost or Stolen Knives. This includes any knives lost in natural or man-made disasters.

Shipping and Packaging Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Knife for Shipment - Clean any dirt or debris from your knife. Knives received in unsanitary conditions will be returned without service.

  2. Package Your Knife Securely - Use a shipping box to ensure the knife cannot move or shift inside the package. Do not use the original packaging, padded envelopes, regular paper envelopes, or popcorn foam. Ship fixed-blade knives in the sheath.

  3. If your knife has sentimental value, please note it when sending the knife to us so that we can determine whether to repair or replace it.

  4. For Warranty Claims, fill out and print the Warranty Repair Form - Complete the form in detail and include it with your shipment.

  5. Send Your Package to:

Warranty FAQ's

When will I receive my knife back?

Turnaround time for repairs: 3-4 weeks. This will fluctuate throughout the year dependent on the number of packages received at any given time.

Turnaround time for SPA Treatment: 1 week.

Note: If you are contacting us for a status, please have your tracking number available to help us trace your package.

Will Buck Knives pay the shipping to have my knife sent to their facility?

Buck Knives will not pay for the freight costs to our facility. However, Buck Knives will pay for all return expenses to your residence or business for warranty services.

I broke a blade and would like to replace the part myself, can you send me the part I need or can I get it from a Buck retailer?

For liability reasons, we do not sell or send individual blades, parts, or anything that would require disassembly of the product, through the mail. Our products are designed to be disassembled by our factory-trained personnel only. Attempting to disassemble your Buck product yourself could result in lost components, compromise the knife's functionality, and void the warranty.

Can I send a photo of my damaged knife instead of shipping the product?

No, the original product is needed to validate a warranty claim for repair or replacement.
