Jeff Legerton is a highly regarded knifemaker and the most senior craftsman at Buck Knives. With 41 years of experience in the industry, he has mastered the art of knife design and production, significantly contributing to Buck's legacy of quality and innovation in the Custom Knife Shop. Outside of his work, Jeff is also an avid homebrewer, having won awards for his exceptional beer.

Meet Tappy

Eric “Tappy” Tapec has honed his knife-making skills at Buck for nearly two decades. When he began, he relocated from the San Diego area to Idaho with the company, and over the years, he has emerged as one of the most talented knifemakers on the shop floor.

“We reached the mine just in time, for we were hardly in when the fire swept over our trail. I ordered the men to lie face down upon the ground of the tunnel and not dare to sit up unless they wanted to suffocate, for the tunnel was filling with fire gas and smoke.
